Art
After working in the corporate world for a long time, the desire kept bubbling up to be the maker of what I was designing, so I pursued my MFA in textiles and ceramics. Coming from home fashions (soft and hard home), it was really revolutionary to be creating the work myself. In addition to my design career, I plan on continuing my studio interests as well.
Graphic Design
Typography, text, color and layout; I am a self taught graphic designer who sort of fell into it by default as the only person with 'computer design' experience at my job. Being strong at color and having a visual approach to projects is an asset for me in the graphics realm. I love the way letters and type are shapes... just like patterns and motifs.
Textile Design
I am a trained textile and surface designer from traditional hand painting to digitally rendered art. My computer medium of choice is Adobe Illustrator because it is the most versatile, and in my opinion, most fun! In addition to print design I have industry experience and knowledge of textile makeup, materials, and constructions.
